Zara Banday

Biography

Zara is a Partner and Head of the firm’s Residential Property Department and has over 20 years of experience in residential property work, including residential Landlord and Tenant work.  She qualified as a solicitor in 2003 and has been head of department in her two former firms. After obtaining her law degree in 2001, Zara completed her Legal Practice Course at the College of Law, Chester. Zara joined the firm in January 2016. In 2023 she was appointed to our Board of Directors.

She has a wide variety of clients, has acted for numerous sports personalities and specialises in complex and high net-worth residential property transactions which include both sale and purchase of freehold and leasehold properties, re-mortgages, boundary disputes, transfers of equity as well as adverse possession claims and residential tenancy agreements. She also acts for private lending institutions.  The majority of Zara’s caseload involves sale, purchase and re-mortgage transactions.

Zara has a loyal client base, with most of her work generated from repeat clients, personal recommendations and referrals.

Further to her legal expertise, she is fluent in both Urdu and Punjabi.

Zara’s department consists of a range of experienced team members from partner level down to experienced paralegals.
